Rolf Giegold (ur. 1970r. w Erlangen, w Niemczech); studiował archeologię w latach 1990-1993 na Uniwersytecie Saarland w Saarbrücken oraz na Uniwersytecie Crecte w Rethymnon. W latach 1993-99 studiował sztukę w Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, Saarbrücken i w Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Dijon. W sztuce zajmuje się przede wszystkim instalacją dźwiękową, obiektami, fotografią, pracami na papierze i w przestrzeni otwartej. Swoje prace artystyczne prezentował na wielu wystawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych m.in. w Villa Rosenthal, Jena, Emerson Gallery Berlin, Singuhr Hœrgalerie, general public Berlin, Galerie für Aktuelle Kunst Deinste, Hospitalhof Stuttgart, Kunsthalle Göppingen, Bellevue-Saal Wiesbaden, Kunstverein Ebersberg, Institut für Aktuelle Kunst im Saarland, Saarlouis (z Christiną Kubisch), Kunstverein Bochum, Kunstverein Böblingen, Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte Saarbrucken, Akademie der Künste Berlin/ Künstlerhof Berlin-Buch, Städtische Galerie im Alten Bau, Geislingen/Steige oraz na pokazach w Austrii, Anglii, Turcji, Francji. Artysta związany jest od wielu lat z berlińską Galerią Emerson, mieszka i pracuje w Berlinie.

Rolf Giegold (b.1970 in Erlangen / Germany); 1991-93 Studies in archaeology at the University of Saarland, Saarbrücken, and at the University of Crete, Rethymnon. 1993-99 Studies of Fine Arts at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, Saarbrücken, and at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Dijon. Diploma degree in Fine Arts at the Hochschule der Bildende Künste Saar, Saarbrücken, Master student of Professor Christina Kubisch. Rolf Giegold’s artistic work concerns social questions and problems, which is visualized through his installations. For his conceptual works, sound installations and contextual interventions he has been awarded with grants and stipends, among others from the Akademie der Künste 2002, the Eberhard Roters stipend Berlin 2006, and the working residence of Schloss Wiepersdorf 2007. Starting in 1995 Rolf Giegold has been exhibited numerous times at single and group shows as well as with projects in public space, for instance in Augsburg, Berlin, Bochum, Dubai, Dresden, El Salvador, Göppingen, Graz, Liverpool, Luxembourg, Marl, Metz, Munich, Salzburg, Saarbrücken, Stuttgart and Wiesbaden. He live in Berlin.

W Galerii AT artysta zaprezentował pracę p.t. „Logos” składającą się z kilkudziesięciu „obrazków” ukazujących loga/znaki firmowe firm produkujących na świecie broń. Rolf Giegold zastosował tu własną przewrotną interpretację tych graficznych znaków, notabene dla większości ludzi zupełnie nie znanych, a będących graficzną wizytówką firm, które zarabiają największe pieniądze w skali świata na sprzedaży swoich produktów.
